Junior Year Goals
- Take PSAT: Wednesday, October 15, 2014
- Attend College Visits – Why should you attend?
- Great opportunity to hear in person about schools (schools you are interested in and also schools that you could learn more about)
- Ask questions: Good time to ask specific questions about programs or majors that you would like to pursue and what specifics they offer that make that program/major stand out
- Find out the financial details: what scholarships do they offer, what is the tuition, room and board
- ASVAB (Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery):
- All juniors will take it November 12 & 13, 2014
- It is a career exploration tool; results will help you see what careers might be good for you to explore
- End of Junior Year Goals:
- Take SAT/ACT in the spring of Junior Year
- Have 3-5 schools you plan to visit and are strongly interested in
- Keep grades up, this is the year school’s really look at on your transcript
- Prepare a challenging schedule for your senior year
