The Redbank Valley School District is seeking a passionate and dedicated District/School Nurse who is certified in the state of Pennsylvania to join our dynamic team beginning in the 2024-25 school year. The District/School Nurse will play a crucial role in promoting the health and well-being of our students, providing compassionate care and support in accordance with state regulations and best practices.

Responsibilities:

• Provide primary healthcare to students and staff within the school setting.
• Assess and manage health needs of students, including administering medication, first aid, and emergency care as necessary.
• Develop and implement individualized healthcare plans for students with chronic health conditions.
• Conduct health screenings and assessments to identify health concerns and promote early intervention.
• Collaborate with school administrators, teachers, and parents to support student health and well-being.
• Maintain accurate health records and documentation in compliance with state regulations.
• Educate students and staff on health-related topics, including nutrition, hygiene, and disease prevention.
• Serve as a resource for families regarding community health services and resources.

Qualifications:

• Current certification as a School Nurse in the state of Pennsylvania. (or willing to get an emergency certificate and work towards certification)
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Nursing from an accredited institution.
• Strong clinical skills and knowledge of pediatric health care.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
• Commitment to promoting a healthy and safe school environment.
• Prior experience working in a school setting preferred.
